Black Magic is a graphite based release agent ideal for use on Ingot and Deox molds, and lines. Black Magic can be mixed with water on a 1 to 10 ration. This makes it a cost effective tool for you foundry. It is sold in one gallon and five gallon bucket. Larger quantities available.

Use them for molding and casting parts in food-processing and preparation areas, or when molding parts that will be used around food. They allow you to easily remove cast parts and prevent sticking, stretching, and tearing.
Coat your wood carving completely in a mold release agent and let it dry, so that the mold material does not get stuck in the wood grain. While the mold release is drying, build a box frame out of Legos that gives your wood carving a clearance of 1/4 inch on all sides as well as the top and bottom.

Place the soaked materials into a hollow mold which will withstand the force of the press, allow the excess water to escape, and allow the briquette to release after pressing. Large diameter PVC pipe with holes drilled in the side works very well for this. Be sure to put a base under the mold, so the soaked material does not fall out the bottom.
